BTS V Reveals Battles with Hearing Loss: "I Can Only Hear 30% in One Ear"
BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) recently opened up about a personal health struggle during a live broadcast, revealing to fans that he has been dealing with significant hearing loss for over two and a half years.
During a recent Weverse stream alongside fellow group member Jungkook, V shared the news while discussing his health routine and daily life. The revelation came as a surprise to millions of fans worldwide, as he had kept the condition private while continuing to perform on global stages and fulfill his mandatory military service.
"I Can Only Hear 30%"
Addressing viewers on the stream, V explained the severity of the condition in plain terms. He shared that while one of his ears operates at normal capacity, the other has suffered noticeable degradation.
"I've never told fans about this before, but my hearing has gotten worse over the past two and a half years," V said during the broadcast. "If my normal ear is at 100, I can only hear about 30 in the other."
He further mentioned that the issue became more pronounced during his time in the military. Surrounded by loud environments and demanding physical training, V initially pushed through the discomfort, believing it was something he could mentally overcome. However, the symptoms persisted, making it clear that medical attention was necessary.
